Lost my husband's drivers license and medical alert bracelet when he was brought to ER and pronounced dead. Did not even ask for Insurance info so they could process the health insurance but was just sending me a bill. The hospital called me the next day after he was pronounced dead asked me how he was after his discharge. When we went to the hospital to try to find his drivers license; we were told they probably threw it away! And, they had several IDs in lost and found! Identify theft would be entirely possible with such poor policy and procedures for all types of IDs. RISK MANAGEMENT desperately needs involvement regarding this HIPPA violation among other violations. In all my years of hospital experience as a patient and professional, this has been the worst ever. The hospital does not deserve a one star rating. This center needs a full audit, survey, or review of policies and procedures.
I'd rather drive all the way across the county with a gun shot wound to the gut and go to another ER than ever step foot in this miserable excuse for healing clinic.
I am not welcome at this hospital because of a prior cesarean birth, 9 years ago. The will not allow me a trial of labor. They are putting a high amount of stress and depression on me and stress, emotional and financial, on my family. We have to travel two hours out of town to have the birth we want. They do not have an anesthesiologist onsite 24/7 so I am denied care. I would have to have a repeat cesarean surgery that is not medically necessary. They cannot handle real emergencies. It's a huge doctors office, that is all. I'll have the hospital know that even if I do need a cesarean surgery, due to being over due, I will not go to is hospital. I will still travel out of town to go else where. I will not support a hospital that does not support me.
Worst hospital I have ever been to. The staff in the ER are slow, rude, and very unprofessional. They don't seem like they care about the parents at all. My wife and I are there right now. She is a Diabetic and she came in because she had bad abdominal pains, she is light headed, and dizzy, and she passed out a few times. As well as her blood sugar heavily fluctuating. The RN that checked her in first told her that she may be anemic as it runs in her family and some of the symptoms fit. Then when we're in the room before the Dr comes in we can hear him talking to the RN laughing about how they are just assuming that it was a panic attack saying stuff like "Well this is going to be one hell of an expensive panic attack coming here for that.". And when he comes in finally, that is one of the first questions he asks her. She has NEVER had a panic attack. Then after running tests they come back for the first time with discharge papers saying she just has a UTI. Even tho a UTI can't possibly cause the symptoms she has. We asked the nurse how it's possible that's all she has, and how that would cause fainting and abdominal pains etc, and she said with an attitude she'll send the Dr in to explain. He comes in a few minutes later, with attitude, being all condescending, and finally says "well there is one more thing I can check for" and just walks out. We then hear him say to a nurse outside again, heavy on the attitude "Run a few more tests just to make her feel better *laugh*."
I've never had such a horrible experience in a hospital. Nurses and doctors are slow and seem to not care about patients. In fact, I had to look for our nurse every time because she never came into the room to check on my dad. Every time to saw her she was sitting and made the excuse that she was "busy". My dad was left waiting for hours in excruciating pain and no one did anything to help. Advice for all- don't come to this hospital!
One of the better hospitals I've been in. Heart surgery plus other complex procedures were accomplished professionally and without adverse issue. Staff is competent and caring. Food wasn't too bad either.
