Scheduling an appt. for the first time was frustrating since the person that deals with "first-timers" isn't there all the time, but once I got my PCP to send the fax they needed, we were set! Actually got an appt much sooner than other psychs in the area were offering. Have already recommended him to a friend who is checking her insurance for coverage.
This doctor is extremely unprofessional and has multiple cases of patient abandonment. He should be sued for malpractice.
So here I go: thanks to Jay (Dr. Bolaram), there is peace in my home again. SO BLESSED to have him in Winter Haven- have lived here two years and in 5 mins he made it feel like home.
This place has changed my life. Staff is very friendly, but they are really busy, which may turn you off- don't be! There is a reason they are busy, and in my experience, it is more common for people to take time to write a negative review over a positive one.
Staff is a little frazzled and disorganized, but they are all VERY friendly. Dr. Bolaram is very friendly, kind, funny, real charming and a very interesting personality. He listened very carefully and seemed genuinely concerned. Glad he is in Winter Haven.
Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare, missing one is even worse! Generally an appointment is made almost a MONTH in advance and you receive NO courtesy calls at all. Even for a 5 minute prescription refill they refuse to see you! The staff has ZERO concern for the patient's mental health and could care less if you get the medicine you need. This practice should be shut down and NEVER reopened! It is truly a disaster waiting to happen. Cosmetic surgery can wait months for an appointment... NOT A MENTAL PATIENT!
Jay is very caring, listens and is empathetic. Takes the time to explain things he thinks you should know about how your body works. Besides, he is hilarious- was literally cracking up.
This is what doctors should be like, especially mental health ones! Please do yourself and your mental health a favor and go see him- you will not regret it!
